Our Story...
Kings Community Church first grew out of the work of the Spirit at Chartwell Baptist Church in 2000. A small group formed and began to pray regularly, envisioning a congregation in which God's presence would be made known to the communities of North Oakville. Early in 2002 the congregation met in the Mississauga Ministry Center of Chartwell. Soon after Chartwell’s newest congregation met for the first time in the newly built King's Christian Collegiate High School beginning in the spring of 2002. Back then we were surrounded by farm fields, but we knew that one day we’d be in the middle of a bustling neighbourhood. As new houses are built around us every day we celebrate the opportunity to be a part of this quickly forming community.
One of the hallmarks of Kings has been the high engagement of our congregation in ministry within the church, in our community and around the world. It is a joy to share life and ministry together and to see God at work in all of the age groups of King's.
Today we are an independent church affiliated with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec. We meet each Sunday to worship together through a mixture of new and old songs, hymns, prayer, communion and Scripture. Throughout the week people gather in smaller groups to share life, meals and conversation. These living room gatherings are where we work out what it means to follow Christ in our day-to-day lives with the help of Scripture, prayer and one another.

Our Mission
Our vision is simple: Pursue God together, see lives transformed. We believe that as we move closer to God, both individually and as a community, we will begin to see amazing, life-giving, change in and around us.
Our Vision
As broken people, loved by God, we are seeking to experience the fullness of His love, so that it overflows into our world. We recognize that we are all in need of healing and restoration, therefore we seek to be a welcoming community that experiences the healing love of God together.
What We Believe
We believe that in Jesus, God showed himself to us and affirmed his deep, enduring love for the world he created. Not only that, but through Jesus' life, death and resurrection God opened a door to fullest, best, life possible for us to take hold of. We believe in a God who does not ignore our suffering and pain but came down right into the center of it and began to make all things new and fresh and alive again as only he could. We believe that he has breathed himself right into us and that by this Spirit we are able to partner with him in his incredible renewal of all things. We believe that death is not the end, but that we will experience resurrection, life in the presence of our loving God and go on living in a totally made-new world.
